Supplies Purchased

With the support of our volunteers, community partners, and sponsors, Community by Sanchez purchased thousands of essential school supplies for students and families.

  • 1,312 backpacks purchased
  • 8,000 No. 2 pencils
  • 2,064 composition books
  • 1,664 spiral notebooks
  • 2,064 folders
  • Thousands of additional classroom essentials distributed

Backpack Disbursement

Backpacks were distributed at the Fiesta and shared with trusted community organizations serving families across Austin.

  • 800 backpacks given out at the Fiesta
  • 200 backpacks donated to the Montopolis Recreation Center
  • 70 backpacks donated to SAFE Austin
  • 50 backpacks donated to VELA
  • 192 backpacks donated to Austin ISD Title I schools
